Screw-In Base Recycling Program

Tired of seeing your old screw-in bases hanging around?

We realize we created a bit of an issue when we introduced the BrushGrip™ base in 2008: “What to do with the old screw-ins?” In response to this question we are now pleased to announce the WCS Screw-In Base Recycling Program.

Here are the details:

1. We’ll take ANY brand of screw-in base (That’s right – RRS, LISKI, DJC, etc.) and make sure it is recycled or disposed of properly. Bases MUST be clean and black. No paint.
2. For every base you return to WCS we will give your organization a $0.25 credit – whether you are a current WCS customer or not. If you are not a current customer we’ll set up an account for you and deposit the credit.
3. There is NO minimum number of bases that can be returned – 10 or 300 – it doesn’t matter.
4. We’ll even pay for shipping the bases back to us! Just give us a call when you have a count of the number of bases you would like to return and we’ll send you’re a prepaid shipping label via email (FedEx or UPS). For our Canadian customers wishing to return bases for credit, give us a call and we’ll give you a Canadian shipping address to use and we’ll pay for your shipping too!
5. Credits issued for returned bases and shipping costs should be used within 12 months. After 12 months unused credits will be forfeited and added to the WCS/SRD/Shred Fast Skier Junior Scholarship Fund monetary award.
6. Returned bases should be black and clean – i.e. no left over base screws, no paint (sorry), and no broken hinges that are ‘frozen’ into the base.
7. We have established this program with the assistance of a New England based plastics company. WCS will deliver the bases to our new partner on a periodic basis for grinding and re-use in other products
