Progression in gate shaft length, or height “off the snow” (OTS) is proven to improve technique and confidence in young ski racers.
The 60″ OTS height is the required gate height for US Ski & Snowboard U12 and under classes. For scored events for U14 and older FULL LENGTH GATES MUST BE USED.
All JR27 gates feature a patented 27mm (1.06″) diameter shaft with SPM’s new Panel Height Mark (on blue and red shafts), a strong polycord hinge, Hi-Vis protection Sleeves (yellow for red gate shafts and orange for blue gate shafts, and your choice of BrushGrip™ base in two lengths: 26cm (10.2″) or 34cm (13.4″). Gates available for online purchase are equipped with the 26cm (10.2″) bases.
